And now for something completely different…
We spent our last couple of Vision Summits getting cozy in the Cascades outside of Seattle.
We climbed mountains together (literally and figuratively).
We talked late into the night.
We gathered insights and sharpened our Visions.
It’s been glorious.
And while we loved the previous Vision Summits, our number one responsibility is supporting you to break through to the next level in your lives.
So this year, we’re changing things up.
We’re bringing the Vision Summit home to Music City, USA – AKA Nashville, Tennessee – where our company began.
And Matt is taking the lead in directing the content and facilitation.
Which means: we’re getting straight to business.
Introducing:
The ML Vocational/Financial State Change
As H2O changes state from ice into water into steam, we change states when our Vocational and Financial life radically transforms – from a state of lower momentum into a state of much higher momentum.
You’re already advanced in this regard.
You’ve jumped from one “state” to another across your Vocational life – over and over.
Wherever you are now, your next Vocational/Financial State Change is on the horizon.
By definition, leaping from a less evolved state up to a more advanced vocational/financial state expands your freedom.
Your freedom to make more. Do more. Impact more.
Your freedom to access new levels of relationships, opportunities, and projects.
And yes – your freedom to grow and handle more financial power than you’ve previously commanded.
Your dreams grow.
Your opportunities multiply.
And, if your heart is polished and shining (as we know yours is)…
…your ability to do miraculous good in the world exponentially increases as your Vocational Impact and Financial Power leap upward.
Investigating Your Next State Change
Over the course of two days in Nashville…
- We’ll identify your next State Change with certainty (even if you’ve been scared to admit it to yourself).
- Then we’ll define your next State Change in detail – so you know exactly what you’re aiming for (in the grand Vision Summit tradition).
- We’ll connect to your State Change’s importance in your life and the impact it will have on everyone around you (which will give you the fuel you need to forge ahead).
- We’ll explore the main State Change topographies (so you can better understand your past struggles and breakthroughs as you prepare for your future Summits):
- Are you plateaued?
- Caught in a thorny trap?
- Lost in a fantasy?
- At the precipice but scared to leap?
- Or just in need of a period of uncomfortable intensity to break through once and for all?
- We’ll map out the topography of where you are in this specific State Change journey, so you know exactly what steps and tools are needed next (as well as the dangers to watch out for as you continue your upward climb).
- We’ll inventory your expedition gear, so you intimately understand your business model, your systems, the team you need around you, and the culture required to reach your summit.
- And we’ll help you develop and refine your Strategy for closing the distance between Here and There so you know exactly what you’re in for as you climb onward toward 2025 (and beyond).
Then we’ll deploy the fundamentals of Momentum Lab, so you have no confusion about the path ahead.
The entire Momentum Lab curriculum will take on new relevance over the course of our time together in Nashville.
The Chain of Inspiration will reinforce the connection between your next State Change and your Why.
The Seven Levels of Vision will equip you with a multi-dimensional roadmap (and give you the energy to follow it).
The AIR will hold you as you put one foot in front of the other, boldly transforming into a higher version of your Vocational and Financial Self.
And The Financial Module will loom large in the background as we honor the importance of the Financial Area of Life and look out for the telltale signs of disavowing our financial empowerment.
In other words, you’ll leave this year’s in-person Vision Summit with a map and a plan for reaching your personal Vision Summit as quickly and powerfully as you’re willing and able to climb.
The Numbers Can’t Lie
In the context of the Vocational and Financial areas of life, a State Change involves numerical precision. Zero ambiguity.
And in a world full of volatility, uncertainty, chaos, and ambiguity, the relevant numbers create a foothold of certainty.
Revenue.
Profit.
Savings.
Net Worth.
Grounding our thinking in numbers gives us an advantage over dreamers, hopers, and wannabes. This isn’t casting spells or doing wishful thinking.
We won’t be content to leave things diffuse and high level.
As part of our work together at Vision Summit 2024, we’ll help you define – mathematically – this next big inflection point in your Vocational/Financial life.
In order to have a shot at your targeted revenue, your business model and business plan have to take a turn under the microscope.
We’ll poke and prod your plans to make sure you’re giving yourself the best shot at reaching the State Change you’re after.
You’ll leave the Vision Summit with your financial targets fully defined.
Financial Security.
Financial Independence.
Financial Freedom.
These aren’t just fancy phrases; they’re mathematical equations.
We’ll make sure you’ve calculated yours down to the penny – because failing to plan is planning to fail, and the Financial Area of Life is a painful area to leave to chance.
If you have availed yourself of the Financial Module in Momentum Lab, you know how transformative this type of examination can be.
Now, imagine doing that hard work with the support of a community and our guidance, in a step-by-step process.
You will walk away from this event with total x-ray vision on the financial reality of your business – along with having a plan that you’ll be able to execute with absolute precision.
The Anatomy of a State Change
Any Vocational/Financial state change will consist of:
- A daring Leap out of your current level of security (because if you want greater economic opportunity, you must relinquish some of the security that’s holding you back).
- One or more Bottlenecks (the constraint you’ll have to resolve if you want to climb higher than ever before).
- A 2x or greater Jump in your desired financial result (revenue, profit, personal income, savings) so you arrive at a genuinely different level than where you are currently.
- One or more Course Corrections (new learning that leads to new thinking and new beliefs about who you are, what you’re capable of, what’s possible, and how the world works).
- Sustained Action (because any State Change actually occurs in the real world of action/reaction).
- And one or more Tests (the roadblocks, obstacles, challenges, and/or crises that filter for those who will over those who will not).
Understanding the anatomy of any State Change allows us to then know for certain whether what you’re aiming for will satisfy the assignment of Vision Summit 2024.
As we have said many times, you don’t need to pack anything if you just want to go to the gas station down the street. You don’t need to set targets, track, report, leverage accountability, none of that.
You certainly don’t need our support to make it to the corner and back.
On the other hand, climbing Mount Everest requires intense training, months of preparation, extreme intentionality, huge risks, expenses, you name it.
The point?
Your next State Change won’t just happen.
It won’t be a walk in the park, or a quick stop at your neighborhood gas station.
That’s why we’re taking two days of focused time to set you up with every possible advantage when it comes to reaching this worthy target you’ve chosen for yourself.
Set and Setting…
We’ve designed this year’s Vision Summit with four essential qualities in mind:
- Private – An exclusive behind-closed-doors gathering of like-minded leaders.
- Safe – A secure environment in which to explore and challenge your limits.
- Distraction-free – A focused space for deep, impactful work.
- To the Point – An event that makes no bones about giving you exactly what you need to succeed in business and life.
To give us the best shot at such an environment, Matt is opening up his home (a five-bedroom cabin+recording studio, nestled in the woods just outside of Nashville, Tennessee).
We’ll meet from 9am to 6pm both days.
We’ll have exactly what we need on hand to minimize disruptions and distractions – beverages, snacks, notepads, quiet surroundings, nature, a state-of-the-art sound system, and (obviously) too many guitars.
We’ll move from full-group sessions to small-group breakouts.
You’ll receive personalized attention from both Nate and Matt throughout the Summit.
We will both be on hand (plus a special guest or two) to answer questions, question your thinking, and push you to dig deeper and deeper so you make the most of the Summit’s time and space.
Here’s What We’ll Be Doing Together
Day One (Friday, June 21st):
Settling In
Gather with the other participants for coffee/tea, hugs, and introductions.
Morning Session
Overview: State Change – What, Why, How.
Illustration: Matt shares his most recent entrepreneurial state changes, what they taught him, and most importantly how he broke through. Matt will also disuss the current State Change he’s aiming at, the topography involved (as he understands it), and how he’s applying everything we’re discussing here.
The State Change Topographies: Mapping the five most common landscapes of challenge.
State Change Q&A: Clarifying the assignment so you can hit the ground running in the afternoon.
Lunch Break
Food and conversation + time for exploration and reflection.
Afternoon Session
Small Groups: Now we’ll get to work on your State Change + Topography.
Open Q&A + Discussion: We’ll get into the nitty-gritty and case-by-case examples.
Dinner
Food and conversation + time for exploration and reflection.
(optional) Post-dinner Listening Party
We’ll invite each participant to select a meaningful song to add to our group playlist.
You’ll share the song’s meaning to you as an introduction, and then we’ll practice presence and active listening (and hopefully get a little Awe Time) with our curated music as the guide.
Day Two (Saturday, June 22nd):
Settling In
Comparing notes and insights from Day One, yet more coffee/tea, possibly additional hugs.
Morning Session
Ex-Deus Ex Machina: One of the gravest dangers on the State Change path is secretly hoping for someone or something else to save you (“passive income,” “being discovered,” “winning the lottery,” etc.). We’ll start Day Two by facing this truth together.
Hot Seats: Every participant will have a chance to get a laser-focused assessment of their State Change, Topography, and Line of Ascent. (We know it’s scary, but this is where the deepest transformation happens.)
Lunch Break
Food and conversation + time for exploration and reflection.
Afternoon Session
Remaining Hot Seats: We’ll keep leaning in and getting what we came for. We’ll challenge, we’ll support, and we’ll come away with gold.
Q3 Planning: We’ll once again break out into small groups to use the intense focus of our time together to plan our next quarter. That way, we’ll hit the ground running post-Summit to preserve all the momentum we generate together.
Recap and Farewell: Finally, Matt will bring the Vision Summit 2024 in for a landing with a final presentation re-examining what we’ve learned and what to look out for as we head back out into our day to day lives.
(optional) Post-Summit Dinner
For those interested, we’ll book a reservation at one of our favorite Nashville restaurants for a little Post-Summit fun.
Here’s What We Won’t Be Doing Together
This year’s Vision Summit will be basically unrecognizable compared to previous years.
As you can see, we’ve tightened the schedule to just two full days (less time away from seeing your clients and running your business).
We’ve trimmed away the morning practices, the partner walks, the retreat center amenities, the evening fire circle, etc. (And we’ll genuinely miss all of that.)
Our full focus will be on learning, discussion, and completing the State Change assignments.
We understand that this change from the previous Summits may feel jarring or unwelcome.
However, we’re confident that the impact of this Summit, for this Summit’s Ideal Clients, will be immense.
After last year’s Vision Summit, one participant told us that the Summit was the most impactful few days of their entire year.
With this year’s Vision Summit, we want that to be true for each and every one of you who make the trek to Nashville in hot and humid June.
“How Do I Join, Already?!?!”
We thought you’d never ask.
The investment to attend is $2,000.
We’ve capped attendance at 12 spots.
This event WILL sell out.
If you want to attend, reserve your spot right now:

FAQ
Q: How much does the Vision Summit cost?
A: The investment for this year’s Vision Summit is $2,000.
Q: What are the accommodations like around Matt’s house?
A: We’re going to be breaking in the evening to let people catch their breath between sessions.
There are several hotels nearby. Here are a few of the closest options:
Home2 Suites by Hilton Bellevue, TN
Hampton Inn Nashville/Bellevue I-40
Homewood Suites by Hilton Nashville-Brentwood
AirBnB is an option as well – here is an example search in the area around Matt’s place.
If you’d like help coordinating housing shares with other participants, we can help facilitate that.
Q: Once I’m at my hotel, how do I get to Matt’s house?
A: Nashville isn’t exactly known for its public transit. And where Matt lives, on the outskirts of the city (his house is about 1 minute from the Nashville county line) is definitely only reachable by car. Whether you go with Uber, a cab, or a rental car, you’ll need to cover your own transport to and from the event each day.
Q: What if I have weird dietary requests?
A: We’ll go out of our way to accommodate them. We want to make sure you have exactly what you need to maintain your energy level and focus throughout the event.
Q: What if they’re really weird?
A: We’ll take care of it. That’s a guarantee.
Q: Is food included in the price?
A: Definitely. Lunch both days. Dinner on Friday. Dinner out on Saturday if you choose to join us. Along with coffee, tea, and snacks.
Q: When is the registration deadline?
A: We’re capping the event at twelve participants to keep it intimate and focused. We’ll close the registration when the event fills up or on June 10th, whichever happens first.
Q: Am I a good fit for this event?
A: If you are committed to hiding, then no. If you’ve got your business plan dialed in, and it’s all but a foregone conclusion, then also no.
We are looking for a few participants that want to leverage maximum support to have a State Change breakthrough in the next year.
Q: Is there a refund policy?
A: We never want to hold your money hostage. But please be aware that with an event this small your registration will inevitably be in the place of someone who wanted to come. We will have to process any cancellations by May 15th.
Q: How can I reserve a spot immediately?
A: Click this link, fill in your payment info, and you’ll be in.
Q: What if the limited spots fill up before I’m able to register?
A: Since we’re capping attendance at 12 spots this year, it’s extremely likely that the Vision Summit will “sell out.” If that happens and you’re not able to reserve a spot, let us know and we’ll put you on the waitlist. If someone can’t make it, we’ll open up available spots to the waitlist first.
Q: What should I bring to the Vision Summit this year?
A: You won’t need sunscreen, Tums, or your winter coat.
You will need: Your computer, your financials, comfy clothes, and a willingness to dig deep.
Q: This event sounds pretty hard core. Are we still going to have some fun?
A: Type 1 fun? Maybe. Type 2 fun? Definitely.
Q: What about the morning practices and other activities from the previous Vision Summits?
A: This year’s Vision Summit is an exercise in focus. We’re intentionally tightening the subject matter as well as the activities we’ll engage in while we’re together. Your business will thank you.
Q: Will there be any follow-up support after the Summit?
A: This year, we’re going to offer a couple follow-up Zoom sessions in Q3 for all Music City Vision Summit participants. Stay tuned for details.
Q: Where is Texas anyway?
A: It’s Tennessee, actually. Nashville has a vibrant arts and music scene, great food, and plenty to do if you’re sticking around for a day on either side of The Vision Summit. Please ask if you’re looking for recommendations.
Q: Can I visit Graceland while I’m there?
A: Believe it or not, Elvis never lived in Nashville. Which means Graceland isn’t anywhere nearby – it’s three hours away in Memphis.
